Application process

To join the LSPD you must submit your CV for consideration at https://www.lsgov.co/join-lspd

End to end recruitment process

  • CV is submitted

  • CV reviewed by someone from leadership

  • Leadership member reaches out to arrange interview with 2x members of leadership and the candidate

  • Interview is conducted using interview process sheet in the training handbook

  • Cadet is hired

  • Cadet is given clothing

  • Cadet is inducted for basic firearms and given all equipment

  • Cadet can begin ride along with officer and above while they wait for Police Academy
