The minimum officer count to enable a safe prison transport is: 6
As outlined within the SOPs and Penal Code - We can give prison transport to ANY person who has been sentenced to 60 months plus in Bolingbroke. As we offer this, we need to be readying up and ready to transport as soon as processing is done and the prisoner/s are ready.
Each prisoner will be accompanied by 2 officers on the prison bus.
The Prison Bus itself will be escorted by 3 cars as stated below plus an optional air one NOTE: THE PRISON BUS MUST BE USED!
Routes are shown below and will be decided upon prior to the escort taking place.
1 cruiser & 1 SUV will be at the front and the back of the Bus and one will keep pace next to the transport vehicle (Escort/Block)
Police units during the escort will do the following -
Be carrying Class 2 weaponry if certified
As the Transport vehicle moves the front unit will keep radio comms for live location intel so, all units listening in can be at junctions easier. The role of escort/blocking will be to block/station at junctions the main prison convoy cross over . The blocking/escort vehicle will stay put until the entire convoy passes, then press ahead to the next. This process will continue for entirety of the journey. air one usage is optional however air one will be high in the air and act as overview. Attempted Breach If an breakout during transport is started en route to Bolingbroke, then this would take priority over every current active and 78S WILL BE CALLED
The transport will stop immediately and all units will surround the bus, both officers on the bus will stay with the prisoner/s.
Units will quickly move to cover the bus and act appropriately on identification of class of weapons being used.
The bus will stay still until all gunfire has ceased and it safe to move on.
If the prisoner is broke free then any units remaining will pursue based on other appropriate SOPs.
