Equipment

All equipment you require will be available from the armory and will be free of charge. You should only carry the amount of equipment you need for the shift.

SECTION A – ARMORY OPERATIONS

2. Cadet Starter Pack

Issued through the Armory (Floor -2) by an Armory Officer. All serialized weapons must be documented in MDT.

All officers are required to carry their issued warrant card on their person at all times while on duty. The warrant card serves as official identification and must be readily available for inspection. Officers shall use their warrant card to identify themselves to members of the public when appropriate, including but not limited to traffic stops, public interactions, and situations where proof of authority is necessary. Upon request, officers must promptly present their warrant card to confirm their identity and authority in a professional and transparent manner.


3. Equipment Replenishment

  • Officers must submit an Equipment Order.

  • Items are issued by Armory staff.

  • Serialized items are logged in MDT.


4. Quick Drop-Off / Pickup

  • Lockers located on Floor -2.


SECTION B – OFFICER SEPARATION

5. Return Procedure

Upon resignation, retirement, or termination:

  1. A report must be created in MDT with the officer’s name and badge number.

  2. The officer shall place all issued equipment into an assigned evidence locker via the Evidence Officer on Floor -2.

  3. Locker format: 42 + Badge Number

    • Example: Officer 298 → Locker 42298


6. Property Return (PR) Report Must Include

  • Date

  • Returning Officer Name/Badge

  • Receiving Officer Name/Badge

  • Full equipment inventory

  • Serial numbers (Firearm, Taser, etc.)


7. Access Removal

Upon separation:

  • Revoke all system and facility access.

  • Remove personal belongings from lockers.

  • Remove personal vehicles from PD parking.

  • Personal PD vehicles must be forfeited through High Command.
