Case Bridge

1. Purpose

Case Bridge is the official interdepartmental case management system used between:

  • Police Department (PD)

  • Department of Justice (DOJ)

  • San Andreas Fire & Medical (SAFM)

The system enables coordinated case management, information sharing, and full lifecycle oversight of investigations and related legal processes.

2. Scope & Functionality

Case Bridge provides the ability to:

  • Share cases directly between PD, DOJ, and SAFM.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of a case from creation to conclusion.

  • Request raid warrants and other judicial approvals directly from DOJ.

  • Create and assign reports to specific individuals or ranks.

  • Maintain internal documentation and notes.

  • Log and manage disciplinary actions.

3. Case Creation & Sharing (PD)

PD Officers may:

  • Create reports directly within Case Bridge.

  • Attach supporting documentation and evidence.

  • Share cases with specific ranks, units, or named individuals.

  • Forward cases to DOJ for legal review or warrant requests.

All shared reports must be complete, factual, and professionally written prior to submission.

4. Raid Warrants & Judicial Requests

When requesting a raid warrant:

  1. Create or update the associated case file.

  2. Ensure all evidence and supporting documentation is attached.

  3. Submit the warrant request through Case Bridge to DOJ.

  4. Monitor the case for updates, approval, denial, or requests for further information.

No raid warrant is to be executed without documented judicial approval within Case Bridge.

5. Case Lifecycle Management

Case Bridge allows departments to:

  • Track investigative progress.

  • Record updates and status changes.

  • Monitor active and closed cases.

  • Maintain a complete historical audit trail of actions taken.

All updates must be logged within the system to ensure transparency and accountability.

6. Personal Notes Section

Officers are provided access to a Personal Notes section within Case Bridge.

  • This section is for internal reference and case organisation.

  • Notes must remain professional and operationally relevant.

  • Personal notes do not replace formal report entries.

7. Disciplinary Management

All disciplinary matters will be:

  • Logged within Case Bridge.

  • Managed and tracked through the system.

  • Updated with outcomes and supporting documentation where applicable.

This ensures a centralised and accountable record of internal actions.

8. Access & Oversight

Access to cases is permission-based and may be restricted by rank or assignment.

The Chief of Police reserves the right to request and review access to any report, case file, or disciplinary record within Case Bridge.

9. Compliance

All personnel must:

  • Ensure information entered is accurate and factual.

  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive cases.

  • Use Case Bridge as the primary system for interdepartmental case coordination.

Failure to comply with Case Bridge procedures may result in disciplinary action.
