Promotion / LOA / Leave & Return
Promotions
There will be a 4 week minimum period between each promotion received. Promotions can be recommended by any officer through the reporting structure and will be voted on and approved by High Command.
Leave of Absence (LOA)
Leave of absence does not need prior approval however you should inform your direct report or send an email. When you are on LOA you should mark yourself as [LOA] within the email system and where possible advise how long the LOA will last for.
If your LOA is for 3 weeks or more you must do 3 ride alongs on return.
Leaving / Returns
If you hand in your badge or leave the email system without prior warning to a member of Leadership or above you will have a 1 week grace period to rescind your resignation.
If you return within the 1 week grace period you will return to active duty at the same rank you left.
If you return after the 1 week grace period you will return at the rank of officer.
On return you will not be promoted from officer until the 4 week minimum period is complete, you will have to complete the Theory test and do 5 ride alongs.
Inactivity
Any officer who does not show for 4 weeks with no LOA or explanation then you will be fired. You need to mark yourself as LOA in email and also ensure a message has been sent or communicated in person.
