Certifications
1. Purpose
This SOP outlines the process for requesting, reviewing, and managing departmental certifications.
2. Requesting Certification
Officers must submit certification requests through the ES Certification Applications on the department tablet.
All applications will be reviewed by the relevant Instructors or Training Leads.
Approval is subject to eligibility, operational need, and instructor availability.
3. Training & Assessment
All training sessions are scheduled and managed through the ES Certification Application system.
Instructors will record progress, outcomes, and any required retraining within the system.
Certifications are formally granted through the application once training requirements are successfully completed.
4. Viewing Certifications
Officers can view their own certifications through the ES Certification Application.
Supervisors and Training Staff can review which officers hold specific certifications.
Any time trials, assessments, or recorded results can also be reviewed within the system.
Failure to follow the proper certification process or operating without valid certification may result in disciplinary action.
