Approaching Shots fired

When approaching the scenes of a shots fired officers should stage up and try to get eyes on the situations before entering. This is imperative for officers safety. Officers should wait for shots fired to cease before entering a hostile environment specifically on gang territory. On entering a shots fired scenarios all injured parties should be cuffed and detained until IC can ascertain what has occurred. GSR test and frisks should be conducted to understand who is armed or shot.
