The below is an overview of the roles and responsibilities from Incident, Chase and report.

Primary

Secure scene and follow instructions from IC

Lead the chase, maintain eyes on the get away car. If you are a double unit your passenger should do comms. Can request PBS.

Complete statement and attached to incident. Process their suspect if an arrest is made.

Secondary

Secure scene and follow instructions from IC

Follows Primary and Gives Comms if no second unit in Primary.

Complete statement and attached to incident. Process their suspect if an arrest is made.

Tertiary

Secure scene and follow instructions from IC

Follow behind Secondary, keeping the pressure on the get away car. Taking up the secondary position if they crash out.

Complete statement and attached to incident. Process their suspect if an arrest is made.

Parallel

Secure scene and follow instructions from IC

Follow the chase from a few streets away, blocking where safe to do so and applying spikes when approved

Complete statement and attached to incident. Process their suspect if an arrest is made.

Incident Command(IC)

Lead the scene and delegate roles and responsibilities where applicable.

Take up the assigned position in the change / approve PBS when required.

Start Incident, complete incident back at MRPD
